Mason - Brick and Stone


As a Mason specializing in brick and stone, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures using these materials. You will work primarily with bricks, concrete blocks, and natural or manufactured stone to create walls, chimneys, fireplaces, patios, and other structures for residential or commercial properties. This full-time position is based in Atlanta and is open to Indian nationals.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the materials needed for a project
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, levels, or squares
- Cut or break bricks and stones to desired sizes using hand tools or power tools
- Lay out patterns or foundations according to building plans using chalk lines, plumb bobs, tapes measures, or other marking devices
- Spread mortar between bricks or stones with trowels and smooth it with tools such as scrapers or wire brushes
- Align bricks or stones by tapping them into place with hammers or mallets
- Cut out damaged bricks or stones using chisels or other hand tools
- Clean excess mortar from surfaces of finished workpieces using brooms, brushes, scrapers, or chemical solutions

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason working with brick and stone materials
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to masonry work
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans accurately
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials
- Attention to detail
- Good time-management skills
- High school diploma; additional training from a technical school is a plus

Salary: $1800 per month
