Architectural Technologist - Svalbard

As an Architectural Technologist in Svalbard, you will be responsible for creating and implementing technical designs for construction projects. Your main duties will include using CAD software to produce detailed drawings and plans, coordinating with project managers and contractors, and conducting site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications.

To excel in this role, you must have a strong understanding of building codes and regulations, as well as experience working on residential or commercial projects. You should also possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed drawings and plans using CAD software
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure project timelines are met
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Stay updated on building codes and regulations to ensure compliance with all requirements
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure all project needs are met

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working on residential or commercial projects
- Proficiency in using CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary: $1100 per month (without accommodation)

Location: This position is located in Svalbard, a remote archipelago located between Norway and the North Pole. While preference will be given to candidates who are already based in Svalbard, we welcome applications from candidates willing to relocate.
