Cashier - Contract Position in Karachi


A reputable retail store in Karachi is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team on a contract basis. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash transactions in an accurate and efficient manner. This position does not require experience, making it the perfect opportunity for beginners or non-native speakers looking to gain valuable work experience.

Responsibilities:
- Receive and process payments from customers in the form of cash, credit/debit cards or vouchers
- Issue receipts and change accurately
- Count and verify money at the beginning and end of each shift
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Ensure pricing accuracy by scanning items correctly
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Proven work experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent numerical skills with basic math knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic equipment like cash registers, scanners, and POS systems is an asset
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Urdu will be an advantage)
- Attention to detail and integrity are essential qualities for this role
