Junior Developer - Part Time (Svalbard)



We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Developer to join our growing team in Svalbard. As a Part Time Junior Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and gain valuable experience in the field of software development.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the senior developers with programming tasks, troubleshooting and debugging code, and contributing to the design and development of new software applications. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Fluency in English (Norwegian language skills are a plus)

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior developers with coding tasks
- Troubleshoot and debug code issues
- Contribute to the design and development of new software applications
- Collaborate with team members on project ideas and strategies
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development

This is a part-time position with flexible working hours. While we prefer candidates who have some prior experience in software development, we are open to considering applicants without any prior work experience. The salary for this position is $1200 per month.

As our company does not provide accommodation for employees, we prefer candidates who are already based in Svalbard or willing to relocate at their own expense. However, if you are a non-native speaker or do not hold Norwegian citizenship, we can assist you with obtaining necessary permits for living and working in Svalbard.
