Executive Chef
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Eldoret. The ideal candidate should have a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences and be able to lead a team of chefs in executing high-quality dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Train, supervise, and manage kitchen staff
- Monitor food production to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Implement proper hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Manage inventory levels and purchase ingredients based on demand
- Develop new recipes and constantly improve existing ones
- Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into the menu
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and best practices
- Ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Salary: 1400$ per month
