Carpenter (Lisbon, Portugal)

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. You will work with a variety of tools and techniques to create custom pieces such as cabinets, frames, and furniture. This role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret blueprints and plans accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to specifications
- Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools
- Assemble wooden components with glue or nails to form structures
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware
- Repair or replace damaged or rotted sections of woodwork
- Follow safety procedures while operating equipment and using tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role preferred
- Proficient in using hand and power tools such as saws, chisels, drills, etc.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods
- Able to read blueprints and technical documents accurately
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions closely
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
- Good communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
