Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Faro. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing the organization's databases, ensuring their security, reliability, and performance. You will also be involved in database planning and design, troubleshooting issues, and implementing upgrades and updates.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop processes for data backup and recovery
- Ensure data integrity and security
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement new databases or modifications to existing ones
- Perform regular maintenance on databases to ensure optimal performance
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and other database languages
- Knowledge of database security protocols
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment

Salary: 1400$ per month

City: Faro, Portugal
