We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team for a seasonal position in Akron, Canada. As our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and managing a team of kitchen staff. Your main goal will be to provide high-quality, delicious meals while maintaining food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that reflect the local cuisine and seasonal ingredients
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency
- Collaborate with management to develop high-quality dining experiences for guests
- Manage budget and control food costs
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Valid Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
