We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Os, a bustling city known for its cultural diversity and vibrant arts scene. As a Typesetter, you will play a crucial role in the production of various printed materials such as books, magazines, and newspapers. Your main responsibility will be to layout text and images into aesthetically pleasing designs using specialized software.

To excel in this role, you must have a keen eye for design and possess excellent attention to detail. You should also be familiar with typography and have a strong understanding of layout principles. As our ideal candidate, you should have prior experience working with desktop publishing software and be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with editors, writers, and designers to ensure that all printed materials meet quality standards
- Use desktop publishing software to format text and images according to design specifications
- Ensure proper typesetting, spacing, and alignment of text
- Make adjustments to layouts based on feedback from the team
- Collaborate with production staff to troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during the printing process
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of typography and layout principles
- Proficiency in desktop publishing software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

We offer competitive salary packages starting at $1400 per month for this contract position. While previous experience is preferred, we welcome applications from candidates without prior typesetting experience who are willing to learn on the job. Please note that this is not a remote position; you must be able to work from our office in Os.
