Heavy Equipment Operator


We are a construction company based in Almada and we are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As an operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes to assist with various construction projects. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to project specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on all equipment
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and others
- Communicate effectively with other team members to coordinate tasks
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
- Troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions with equipment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating heavy equipment preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
