Library Technician

We are hiring a skilled and organized Library Technician to join our team in Sharjah. As a Library Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the management and maintenance of the library's collection, as well as providing support to library patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloging, processing, and shelving library materials
- Maintain accurate records of library materials and patron accounts
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing materials
- Provide basic reference services and assist with research inquiries
- Assist with creating displays and promoting library resources
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with collection development
- Perform routine maintenance and organization tasks in the library
- Train volunteers or student workers in library procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Experience working in a library or similar environment
- Knowledge of cataloging systems and procedures
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with circulation software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
