Librarian - Gujrat, Pakistan


We are seeking a knowledgeable and organized Librarian to join our team in Gujrat, Pakistan. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials. You will also assist patrons in finding resources and provide guidance on research techniques. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Librarian. Accommodation is not provided, but we offer free visa and ticket for candidates outside of Pakistan.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloging, classifying, and organizing materials
- Assist patrons in locating resources and provide guidance on research methods
- Develop and implement library programs and events to promote literacy and education
- Maintain an updated inventory of all library materials
- Oversee the circulation desk and manage check-in/check-out procedures
- Keep the library space clean, organized, and welcoming for patrons
- Train new staff members on library policies and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Librarian or similar role
- Knowledge of cataloging systems (Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist patrons from diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in computer systems used for managing library collections (e.g., Koha or Destiny)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1800$. We also offer free visa and ticket for candidates outside of Pakistan.
