Executive Chef - Canadian/Nepali Cuisine


The Executive Chef will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant, specializing in Canadian and Nepali cuisine. They will be responsible for creating and maintaining menus, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Canadian and Nepali cuisine, strong leadership skills, and previous experience working as an Executive Chef.

Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in the kitchen
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu items
- Implement sanitation procedures to ensure food safety standards are met

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and Nepali cuisine, including traditional cooking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven track record of managing food costs while maintaining high quality standards
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)
