Livestock Specialist in Abu Dhabi

We are a leading livestock company in Abu Dhabi and we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and management of our livestock, including daily feeding, health checks, and breeding programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for livestock including feeding, watering, and monitoring health
- Develop and implement breeding programs to improve the quality and productivity of our livestock
- Maintain accurate records of herd health, breeding cycles, and production data
- Ensure compliance with all regulations related to animal welfare and biosecurity protocols
- Train and supervise other staff members in proper animal handling techniques
- Monitor market trends and make recommendations for purchasing or selling livestock
- Collaborate with veterinarians to address any health issues or concerns
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in livestock management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Livestock Specialist or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of animal nutrition, breeding techniques, and herd management practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Experience working with various types of livestock such as cattle, sheep, goats, etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good physical fitness as this job may involve heavy lifting or manual labor at times
- Fluency in English is preferred but not required.
