Executive Chef - Bayan, Malayalee Cuisine
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Bayan, specializing in Malayalee cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating authentic and flavorful dishes using traditional methods and ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that showcase the unique flavors of Malayalee cuisine
- Oversee kitchen operations and ensure high quality food preparation and presentation
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and sanitation standards
- Source and select the freshest ingredients from local markets
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and control costs
- Create new dishes and update menus based on seasonal availability of ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of Malayalee cuisine, including traditional cooking techniques, spices, and flavors
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team of kitchen staff
- Excellent communication skills in English (Malayalam proficiency preferred)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must have valid work visa for Bayan or be able to obtain one independently
Salary: 1200$ per month (tax-free)
