Database Administrator (Contract) - Karachi, Pakistan


We are in search of a skilled Database Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Karachi, Pakistan. As the Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases, ensuring their security, reliability and performance.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Develop and implement database policies, procedures and standards
- Ensure data integrity and security throughout the system
- Collaborate with other teams to identify database needs and develop solutions
- Maintain database documentation including data standards, procedures and definitions
- Keep up-to-date with database technologies and trends to make recommendations for improvements

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of database management systems (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle)
- In-depth understanding of data integrity principles and best practices
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues quickly and efficiently
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Salary: 1600$ per month. This is a contract position.
Location: Karachi, Pakistan. This position is open to all qualified candidates regardless of gender or nationality.
