Senior Sailor - El-Fujairah, UAE


As a Senior Sailor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ship's deck department. You will work closely with the Captain and other crew members to ensure the vessel's smooth sailing and adherence to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Navigate the ship using navigational instruments and charts
- Supervise and train junior sailors in all aspects of seamanship
- Maintain the ship's cleanliness and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Handle mooring lines during docking and undocking procedures
- Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to ensure safe navigation
- Conduct safety drills and emergency procedures as needed
- Assist with loading/unloading cargo and supplies
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, including fuel consumption, voyage details, etc.
- Adhere to all international maritime laws and regulations

Requirements:
- Valid 1st Class Sailor certification or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a sailor, preferably in a supervisory role
- Excellent knowledge of seamanship, navigation techniques, and safety procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in various weather conditions
- Physically fit with good stamina for long hours at sea
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus)
- Must have a valid biometric passport (or ability to obtain one)

Salary: $1600/month (tax-free) + benefits (including full-time accommodation)
