Preservation Architect - Faroe Islands


We are seeking a talented and passionate Preservation Architect to join our team in Faroe Islands. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures through careful planning, design, and execution. Your main goal will be to ensure the longevity and cultural significance of these landmarks for future generations.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history, construction methods, and materials used in historical buildings
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local building codes and regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation projects
- Create detailed drawings and specifications for restoration work
- Oversee the construction process to ensure quality and accuracy of work
- Regularly inspect historical buildings to assess their condition and identify potential issues
- Recommend appropriate maintenance strategies for long-term preservation
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and community members regarding preservation efforts

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Proven experience in preservation architecture or historic preservation projects preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of historical building materials, construction techniques, and restoration best practices
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural design software
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines within budget constraints
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of 1100$.
