Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect in Los Angeles, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in the city.
Your main duties will include conducting detailed historical research, assessing the condition of buildings, developing preservation plans and strategies, and overseeing restoration projects.
You will also be required to collaborate with other professionals such as engineers, contractors, and government officials to ensure that all preservation work is done in adherence to local regulations and standards.
To excel in this role, you must have a degree in architecture or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience working as an architect specializing in historic preservation.
Knowledge of architectural history, building materials, and construction techniques from different eras is essential.
You should also possess excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to effectively work with diverse stakeholders.
This position comes with a salary of 1100$ per month and includes accommodation for non-native speakers.
