Head Chef - Nepali Cuisine
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our Nepali cuisine kitchen in Washington. The ideal candidate should have a passion for authentic Nepali flavors and ingredients, as well as strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Create and develop new menus while maintaining the authenticity of traditional Nepali dishes
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality and consistent food production
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef in a Nepali restaurant or similar setting
- Proficient in preparing various Nepali dishes, including momo, dal bhat, and thukpa
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time-management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen
Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this position.
Location:
This job is located in Washington, but we welcome candidates from Nepal or other countries who have the necessary qualifications and work permit.
