Job Title: Database Administrator


We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to manage and maintain our company's databases in Faroe-Islands. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of our databases. Your main duties will include designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems, monitoring performance and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing databases based on business requirements
- Ensuring data security and integrity by regularly backing up data and implementing security measures
- Monitoring database performance and making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency
- Troubleshooting any issues or errors that may arise in the database system
- Collaborating with other teams to integrate new applications or systems into the existing database infrastructure
- Conducting regular maintenance tasks such as updating software versions and applying patches
- Providing technical support to end-users for any database-related inquiries or issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Database Administration
- Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Proficiency in SQL language for creating and querying databases
- Experience with database design, data modeling, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with database security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other teams
- Good communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical team members

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1700$ per month.
