Interpreter (Svalbard)



The ideal candidate for this position will be a skilled and experienced interpreter who is fluent in multiple languages, including English and the language of Svalbard. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals or groups who do not speak the same language.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between individuals or groups who do not speak the same language
- Interpret spoken conversations accurately and in a timely manner
- Translate written documents from one language to another
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and accuracy in all interpretations
- Maintain confidentiality of all information exchanged during interpretations

Requirements:
- Fluency in English and the language of Svalbard
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven experience as an interpreter, preferably in a professional setting
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and ability to adapt interpretations accordingly
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all translations
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure

Salary: 1600$ per month

Location: Svalbard (accommodation provided)
