Job Title: Formwork Specialist
As a Formwork Specialist, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling temporary structures used in the construction of concrete structures. You will work closely with the project team to ensure that the formwork is built according to specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, physical strength, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction plans to determine formwork requirements
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials such as plywood, lumber, or steel
- Cut and shape materials using hand or power tools
- Assemble formwork using screws, nails, bolts, or other fasteners
- Ensure proper alignment of formwork panels and braces
- Pour and spread concrete to create foundations for formwork structures
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust construction methods accordingly
- Inspect formwork for any defects or damage and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Formworker or Carpenter in the construction industry
- Ability to read construction plans and blueprints
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Biometric passport is a must
Location: This position is based in Bergen, Norway.
Salary: $1600 per month without accommodation.
