Registered Dietitian - Full Time (Faroe-Islands)

Our healthcare facility in Faroe-Islands is seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Dietitian to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, conducting nutrition assessments, and creating personalized meal plans based on individual needs. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our patients. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics, be a registered member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and have at least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting. Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Faroese language is considered an asset. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
- Registered member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Faroese language is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments for patients with various medical conditions.
- Develop individualized meal plans based on patient's needs and preferences.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and gastrointestinal disorders.
- Educate patients on proper nutrition habits and lifestyle changes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, and therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Keep updated records of patient progress and communicate any relevant information to the healthcare team.
- Stay current with new research findings and developments in the field of nutrition.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
