Executive Chef
We are in search of a highly skilled and passionate Executive Chef to join our team in Almada, Portugal. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing our kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and delicious meals to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and innovative menus that align with the restaurant's vision and concept
- Manage food inventory, budget, and cost control
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create a positive work culture and maintain a productive team environment
- Oversee food procurement, including sourcing local and fresh ingredients
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
- Continuously monitor and improve the quality of dishes being served
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu development
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Strong knowledge of different cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to create unique menus that cater to various dietary restrictions
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed
Salary: $1300 per month (part-time)
