Executive Chef - Culinary Contract Position in Copenhagen
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Executive Chef to join our team on a contract basis in the vibrant city of Copenhagen. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our culinary operations and ensuring high-quality, innovative dishes are consistently served.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Develop creative and delicious menus that cater to a variety of dietary preferences and restrictions.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain budget control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Train and mentor staff in proper cooking techniques, sanitation practices, and menu execution.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and catering services.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment.
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to create unique menus that showcase local ingredients while also meeting guest expectations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Biometric passport or eligibility to work in Denmark is required.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
- Experience managing budgets, inventory, and cost controls.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
Salary: 1300$ per week (negotiable based on experience)
