Shaper - Woodworking Specialist


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shaper - Woodworking Specialist to join our team in Nakuru. As a Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and carving wood to create various products such as furniture, decorative items, and other wooden structures. This is a full-time position open to both Indian nationals and individuals with English speaking abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Use hand and power tools to shape and carve wood according to design specifications
- Select appropriate wood materials based on project requirements
- Measure, mark, and cut wood pieces accurately
- Create smooth surfaces and intricate details using various techniques such as sanding, routing, and carving
- Assemble finished pieces using adhesives or fasteners
- Inspect final products for quality and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Shaper or similar role in woodworking industry
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong knowledge of different types of wood materials and their properties
- Proficient use of hand and power tools such as saws, routers, sanders, etc.
- Attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects if needed
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus)
- Full-time availability without the need for accommodation
