Office Assistant
We are seeking a reliable and organized Office Assistant to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. This is a part-time position with a salary of 1000$.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining files
- Assist in the preparation of documents and reports
- Monitor and order office supplies
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars
- Organize and maintain office cleanliness and orderliness
- Assist in basic accounting tasks, such as managing invoices and receipts
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Assist with organizing company events or meetings
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Proven work experience as an Office Assistant or in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferences:
While not required, we prefer candidates who:
- Are Kenyan nationals or have legal authorization to work in Kenya
- Have previous experience working in an office setting
- Are fluent in Swahili
