Executive Chef - Mombasa, Kenya


We are hiring an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in the beautiful city of Mombasa, Kenya. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, delicious meals to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that showcase local ingredients and flavors while also meeting dietary and cultural requirements
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen personnel
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
- Create new dishes and update menu offerings regularly based on customer feedback and market trends

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that appeal to a diverse customer base
- Knowledge of traditional African cuisine is preferred but not required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
