Head Pastry Chef


We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Herning, Denmark. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, from creating new menu items to managing inventory and training staff.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and create innovative and high-quality pastries and desserts for our menu
- Create and maintain recipes with accurate measurements and presentation guidelines
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain budget for the pastry department
- Train and mentor pastry cooks on proper techniques and standards
- Ensure consistent quality of pastries by conducting regular taste tests
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus and cross-utilize ingredients
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role (at least 5 years)
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, flavor combinations, and plating presentations
- Ability to manage inventory, cost control, and create new menu items within budget limitations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- Attention to detail and creativity in recipe development
- Fluent in Danish or English (both written and verbal)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this position.
