Sous Chef
Are you an experienced chef with a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes? Do you have a strong background in kitchen management and a knack for leading a team? Our busy restaurant in Jerusalem is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team and help create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.
As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, inventory control, and ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior chefs and kitchen staff.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a chef, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant. You must have excellent culinary skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have strong leadership abilities. A degree or diploma in culinary arts is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating new menus and dishes
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of supplies
- Oversee food quality and presentation
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Degree or diploma in culinary arts (preferred)
- Fluent English (preferred)
