Gardener in Faro, Portugal
As a Gardener in Faro, Portugal, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for the gardens and outdoor spaces of private residences and commercial properties. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong knowledge of gardening techniques, plant care, and equipment usage.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing landscape plans
- Planting, pruning, watering, and fertilizing plants
- Maintaining lawns by mowing, edging, and weeding
- Identifying and controlling pests and diseases
- Installing irrigation systems
- Operating and maintaining gardening equipment
- Cleaning up debris and maintaining a tidy appearance of gardens
- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and preferences
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Gardener or in a similar role
- Knowledge of gardening techniques, plant care, and equipment usage
- Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects or using manual tools for extended periods of time
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
- Attention to detail to maintain the appearance of gardens at a high standard
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide updates on the status of projects
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in horticulture or landscaping
- Experience working with different types of plants and flowers
- Familiarity with local climate conditions in Faro
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Fluency in Portuguese language
Salary: 1800$ per month
