Preservation Architect
We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Greenland. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. Your main duties will include conducting research, developing preservation plans, and overseeing construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historical buildings and structures to determine their significance and condition
- Develop preservation plans that comply with local regulations and standards
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the preservation project is feasible and meets all requirements
- Oversee construction projects to ensure they are carried out in accordance with the preservation plan
- Monitor progress of the preservation project and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Prepare reports and documentation on the progress of the project
- Work closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to educate them about the importance of preserving historical structures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in architectural design or historic preservation
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
- Excellent research skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD or other architectural design software
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
Salary: 1200$ per month
Location: Greenland
