Industrial Alpinist

An industrial alpinist is a highly skilled professional who specializes in performing high-altitude maintenance, repair, and construction work on industrial structures such as buildings, bridges, and oil rigs. This role requires physical strength, technical expertise, and a strong sense of safety awareness. As an industrial alpinist, you will be responsible for utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to access difficult-to-reach areas at great heights. This may include rope access, rigging, welding, painting, and other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular safety checks on equipment and tools
- Rigging ropes and setting up anchors for safe ascent and descent
- Performing maintenance, repair, and construction tasks at great heights
- Operating specialized equipment such as cranes and lifts
- Communicating effectively with team members to coordinate tasks
- Adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Ensuring quality workmanship on all projects
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial alpinist or related field (e.g. construction worker)
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights
- Technical knowledge of rope access techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with rigging principles and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications for construction/repair projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)

City: Shan (preference for Kenyan nationals or foreigners with valid work permits)
