Back-End Developer



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Back-End Developer to join our team in Greenland. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex back-end systems and databases that power our web applications. You will work closely with the front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of the user interface with server-side logic. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in programming languages such as Java, Python or PHP, as well as knowledge of database management systems. This is a full-time position with accommodation and visa sponsorship provided for non-Greenlandic applicants. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient, secure and scalable back-end systems for our web applications
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Develop APIs that can be used by mobile/web developers to access data from the database
- Troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions to ensure smooth functioning of the back-end systems
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies/trends in back-end development and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python or PHP
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus
- Experience working with database management systems like MySQL, MongoDB or Oracle
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on large scale web applications
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
