Mason - Full-Time Position in Copenhagen, Denmark



As a Mason in our Copenhagen construction team, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures made of brick, stone or concrete. You will work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial buildings, as well as bridges and other infrastructure. Your main duties will include laying bricks and stones, mixing mortar, cutting materials to fit specific dimensions, and using tools such as trowels, levels and chisels.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Mason in similar projects
- Knowledge of different types of masonry materials and their properties
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials needed
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Fluent in English or Danish (preferred)

Responsibilities:

- Read blueprints or drawings to determine the layout of structures
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, squares or chalk lines
- Cut or break bricks, stones or blocks according to specifications
- Mix mortar according to proportions specified by the project manager
- Spread mortar onto surfaces using hand tools such as trowels or jointers
- Lay bricks, stones or concrete blocks in rows or patterns to create walls or other structures
- Check alignment of structures by using levels or plumb bobs
- Repair cracks or holes in existing masonry work using appropriate techniques and tools
- Clean excess mortar from surfaces after completion of work
