Job Title: Computer Support Specialist
A computer support specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to users of computer hardware and software. This includes troubleshooting and resolving issues, installing and updating software, and maintaining computer systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of computer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to users experiencing issues with computer hardware or software
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to operating systems, networks, printers, and other computer peripherals
- Install, update, and maintain software on computers
- Set up new computers for users as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on computer systems such as virus scans and disk cleanups
- Communicate with users to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Document all technical issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a technical support role or similar position
- Proficient knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networks, printers, and other peripherals
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Education Requirements:
A degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are also highly desirable.
Salary:
The salary for this position starts at $1800 per month but may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Location:
This position is located in Horsens, Denmark. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Denmark.
