Junior Merchandiser - Bungoma, Kenya



Our company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Merchandiser to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. As a Junior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of merchandising strategies to drive sales and increase brand awareness.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior merchandisers to develop seasonal product plans
- Assist with the creation of visual merchandising guidelines and standards
- Conduct market research to identify consumer trends and competitor strategies
- Analyze sales data to determine product performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Participate in the development of new product lines by providing input on market demands and consumer preferences
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking stock levels and identifying slow-moving products
- Support the implementation of promotional campaigns and events
- Communicate regularly with suppliers, buyers, and store managers to ensure timely delivery of products
- Coordinate with logistics team to ensure efficient transportation of merchandise

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in retail merchandising or buying
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of local market trends preferred

Salary: $1300 per month
