Indian Pastry Chef in Doha, Qatar


We are searching for a skilled Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of pastries and desserts in accordance with traditional Indian recipes. Your role will also include supervising and training kitchen staff, maintaining inventory and ensuring high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts and sweet treats following traditional Indian recipes
- Decorate pastries using various icing techniques to create visually appealing displays
- Develop new pastry recipes and menu items that reflect the diverse flavors of India
- Train kitchen staff on pastry techniques, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Oversee inventory management to ensure ingredients and supplies are well-stocked at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section in the kitchen
- Adhere to strict food safety guidelines and maintain high-quality standards at all times

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an Indian Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Indian pastry techniques, recipes, and flavors
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while producing high-quality results under pressure
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise kitchen staff effectively
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
- A creative mindset with an eye for detail to create visually appealing displays

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (culinary degree is preferred)
- Certification in food safety and sanitation (HACCP)
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Indian Pastry Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel setting

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package starting at 1700$ per month based on experience.
