Heavy Equipment Operator


The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery to assist with construction and maintenance projects in the Faroe Islands. This individual must have experience and a deep understanding of operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes. They will also be responsible for conducting routine maintenance checks on equipment, identifying any issues or malfunctions, and reporting them to the appropriate supervisor.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment
- Identify any issues or malfunctions with equipment and report them to the appropriate supervisor
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and safety procedures
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred:
- Previous experience working in construction or related field
- Knowledge of basic mechanical principles
- Experience with GPS technology for grading work

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1000 per week. Accommodation will be provided.
