Welder Technician


As a Welder Technician for our company in Funchal, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding and fabrication tasks. Your main duty will be to use your knowledge and expertise to weld together metal parts to create structures or components according to specifications and blueprints. You will work with a variety of materials such as steel, aluminum, and other metals, using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.

Key Responsibilities:
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape and join metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other specifications
- Measure and mark cutting lines on material using measuring tape, ruler or square
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality control
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Welder or similar role
- Technical knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC)
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings and follow instructions
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Certification in Welding Technology is an asset.

Salary:
The starting salary for this position is $1600 per month. Salary may vary depending on experience and qualifications.

Location:
This position is located in Funchal, Portugal. Relocation assistance is not provided.
