Librarian Assistant - Acre, Canada


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Librarian Assistant in Acre, Canada. In this role, you will assist the librarian with daily tasks such as cataloguing, shelving, and organizing materials. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a library setting and possess strong communication skills. This is a contract position with a salary of $900 per month. Canadian nationality is preferred but not required. This is an urgent position and requires immediate availability. Accommodation will not be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the librarian with daily tasks such as cataloguing, shelving, and organizing materials
- Help patrons locate books and resources
- Maintain library inventory and ensure shelves are properly stocked
- Process new materials for circulation
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member
- Provide excellent customer service to all library patrons

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a library preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of library software systems
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
