Senior Gardener


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Gardener to join our team in Nairobi. As a Senior Gardener, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and care of our gardens, ensuring they are kept in pristine condition at all times. You will work closely with our team of gardeners to plan and coordinate tasks, as well as provide guidance and training to junior staff members.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing garden plans, including selection and placement of plants, trees, and flowers
- Overseeing the maintenance of gardens, including watering, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing
- Managing pest control and identifying potential issues with plants or trees
- Training and supervising junior gardeners on proper techniques for caring for gardens
- Maintaining tools and equipment used in gardening tasks
- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and preferences for their gardens
- Providing recommendations for improvements or additions to enhance the beauty of gardens
- Ensuring that gardens are kept clean, organized, and free from hazards at all times
- Assisting with budgeting for gardening materials and supplies

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a gardener, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of plants, flowers, trees, and gardening techniques
- Ability to design creative garden plans based on client preferences
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients and leading a team of gardeners
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor in outdoor environments
- Attention to detail in maintaining high standards of care for gardens
- Flexibility to work weekends or overtime when necessary

Salary: 1100$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Nairobi (open to candidates from any nationality)
