Part-Time Instrument Technician


We are a leading biometric passport manufacturing company based in Svalbard, seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the instruments used to produce biometric passports. This includes conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and performing quality checks on the instruments. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in instrumentation and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on instruments used in biometric passport production
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with instruments
- Perform quality checks on instruments to ensure accurate operation
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Collaborate with other team members to improve instrument efficiency and productivity
- Stay updated on new technologies and techniques in instrument maintenance

Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Instrument Technician or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles and techniques
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary:
1400$ per month (based on experience) for 20 hours per week.

Location:
Svalbard (Relocation assistance not provided)
