Part-Time Librarian

The Lisbon Public Library is currently seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team. As a librarian, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to library patrons and assisting with various library activities. This position offers a competitive salary of 1700$ per month, as well as accommodation options.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with finding and checking out materials, including books, magazines, and electronic resources
- Answer reference questions and provide information on library resources and services
- Plan and lead library programs for all ages, such as storytime sessions or book clubs
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of library materials and shelves
- Process new materials for circulation, including cataloging, labeling, and shelving
- Handle cash transactions for fines or fees
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new programs and services
- Keep up-to-date with new technology and resources in the library field

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Experience working in a library setting preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Proficiency in using computers and library software systems
- Fluency in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
