Librarian for a Multinational School in Muscat, Oman

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our multinational school in Muscat, Oman. As the Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the school's library resources and services, as well as promoting reading and research skills among students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the school's library collection, including books, journals, and digital resources
- Develop and implement library programs to promote reading and research skills among students
- Assist students in locating and accessing materials for their academic needs
- Teach students how to effectively use library resources for research projects
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into lesson plans
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all library materials
- Ensure the library is clean, organized, and conducive to learning
- Develop and maintain relationships with publishers and vendors to acquire new materials for the library
- Train other staff members on how to use the library system
- Stay updated on current trends in librarianship and incorporate them into the school's library programs

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Librarian in an educational institution
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of information literacy skills and online research tools
- Familiarity with different cataloging systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff members from diverse backgrounds
