Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen in Aalborg. You will be responsible for supervising and training kitchen staff, creating menus, ordering supplies, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Sous Chef, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating delicious dishes. This position offers a salary of 1100$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and creation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Oversee ordering and inventory of kitchen supplies
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met in the kitchen
- Monitor food storage to prevent spoilage or contamination
- Collaborate with servers to ensure efficient service times
- Prepare dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Handle any issues or concerns that arise in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in developing new menu items
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
Preferred:
- Culinary degree or certificate from an accredited institution
- Experience working in a fine dining restaurant
- Knowledge of local cuisine
