Part-Time Preservation Architect in Aarhus, Denmark
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis in Aarhus, Denmark. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while adhering to strict preservation guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation work
- Develop detailed preservation plans and proposals, including cost estimates and timelines
- Oversee preservation projects and ensure compliance with local and national preservation regulations
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
- Monitor project progress and make any necessary adjustments to preserve the integrity of the historic structure
- Conduct research on historic materials, techniques, and methods for restoration purposes
- Prepare reports and documentation on preservation projects for government agencies and historical societies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Preservation Architect working on historic buildings or structures
- Strong knowledge of local and national preservation regulations
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other architectural software
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders on restoration projects
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish language skills preferred)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Denmark without visa sponsorship
Working hours: This is a part-time position with flexible working hours. You will be expected to work approximately 20 hours per week.
Salary: We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month based on your qualifications and experience.
Location: The position is based in Aarhus, Denmark. Please note that this is not a remote position.
