Head Pastry Chef
As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the production of all pastries and desserts in our busy bakery in Braga. Your expertise in pastry making, attention to detail, and creative flair will ensure that our customers have a memorable and delicious experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new pastry recipes, taking into account dietary restrictions and customer preferences
- Oversee the production of all pastries and desserts, ensuring high quality standards are maintained
- Train and supervise pastry staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus for events or special occasions
- Continuously research current culinary trends to ensure our offerings are innovative and appealing to customers
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive knowledge of different types of pastries, baking techniques, and flavor combinations
- Ability to lead a team effectively and maintain high standards during peak times
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for creating visually appealing dishes
- Fluent in Portuguese (preferred) or English
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or relevant field is preferred
