Head Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Filipino or Kenyan)
We are in search of an experienced, creative and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in a fine dining restaurant located in Muscat. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing high-quality dishes that showcase our unique menu and satisfy our guests' palates. This position requires someone with strong leadership skills who can effectively manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that reflect the restaurant's concept while incorporating seasonal and regional ingredients
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently served
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control measures, and menu pricing
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment according to health code standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of different cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Excellent understanding of various dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate guest requests
- Proficient in menu planning, budgeting, inventory management, and cost control
- Ability to lead and manage a team while maintaining a positive work environment
- Fluent in English with clear communication skills
